By drinking Café Joyeux, you are actively participating in the professional inclusion of people with mental and cognitive disabilities.
Our beans, capsules (Nespresso® compatible) and ground coffees are speciality coffees. This term refers to coffees marked with a score of 80/100 by the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America). Only 5% of the world's coffees carry this designation.

THE SELECTION OF JOYEUSES PLANTATIONS
Our roaster selects for you the best planters around the world to unearth the finest vintages on land at an altitude of over 600m, with respect for the land and its people.
HARVESTING COFFEE CHERRIES
The cherries are picked by hand using the ‘Picking’ method, which involves selecting only ripe cherries. Once picked, they are pulped, washed and dried, and the beans are dehulled. The coffee will then develop different aromatic profiles depending on the treatment used, the control of fermentation and the quality of drying. Our green coffees are meticulously sorted to ensure the highest quality.
CREATING THE RECIPES
To create our range of coffees, our roaster worked on different recipes called ‘blends’. This blend allows us to obtain a particular flavour by playing with the proportions of the various coffee beans. Our blend recipes were developed in France by a woman who is a ‘Meilleur Ouvrier de France’ (MOF).
ROASTING
To meet our high quality standards, Joyeux coffees are roasted by hand in Strasbourg. By observing and listening to the crackling of the coffee beans, our master roaster knows that the roasting process is complete. The coffee is then immediately cooled to stop it cooking, and reveals its full flavour.
